Insert hyperlink

To insert a hyperlink, either use the menu Format or the corresponding toolbar action.

The Insert hyperlink panel has two cards, one for internal hyperlinks and one for external hyperlinks.

Internal hyperlinks

Internal hyperlinks refer to nodes in the repository. Hence you can select these using a explorer control. Note, that the hyperlinks use the UUID of the nodes instead of the repository path, if these have a node type with supertype mix:referenceable. This means, that the hyperlink will remain valid, if the target node is moved to another part of the repository.

When you create an internal hyperlink, you can request not to use fixed text for the hyperlink in card Property, but the value of a property of the referenced node. That way, the text of the hyperlink changes, when the property value of the referenced node is modified. Usually, this will be used to associate the hyperlink text to the NAME property of the node.

External hyperlinks

For the external hyperlinks, you must specify URL and text.
